The Radio 4 programme ‘In Touch’ (News, views and information for people who are blind or partially sighted) in its last two programmes has featured the benefit changes which will see the introduction of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) over the next three years (if the planned policy and schedule are adhered to).

The first programme featured an interview with ‘Disability’ Minister, Esther McVey; the second handled questions from ‘anxious’ listeners, currently recipients of DLA and unclear as to how they will be affected – and offered some reassuring answers to their questions.

The programmes , specially the second, were highly informative, and Rescare recommends them to anyone who is the parent or carer of someone with a learning disability; especially since we are aware that many people find it easier to absorb information by listening rather than reading.

The In Touch programmes can be heard (using BBC iPlayer) via the In Touch episode archive page  Select the programmes on 29.01.2013 and 05.02.2013
