The Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) was established as an independent think-tank in 2004. It researches the scale and damage of social breakdown in the UK, and promotes possible solutions.

National Autistic Society (NAS)

The leading UK charity for people on the autism spectrum (including Asperger syndrome) and their families. Provides information, support and pioneering services, and campaigns for a better world for people with autism.

Norah Fry Research Centre

Norah Fry Research Centre at Bristol University is one of the leading centres in UK for people with learning disabilities; research studies are based on a social model of disability attempting to support disabled people and their families in identifying and tackling the barriers they face; publishes research papers and a wide range of resources

RIPFA Customer Guides

Research in Practice for Adults (RIPFA) supports research and promotes the use of evidence-informed policy and practice in adult social care; produces excellent Customer Guides and other resources for 'non-professionals'.

SWAN UK (Syndromes Without A Name)

SWAN UK (syndromes without a name) is the only dedicated support network available for families of children and young adults with undiagnosed genetic conditions in the UK. It is run by the charity Genetic Alliance UK.

Its three stated aims:

Develop and support a community of families of children affected by undiagnosed genetic conditions.
SUPPORT
Support the development of high quality information and services for families of children affected by undiagnosed genetic conditions.
RAISE
Raise public and professional awareness of undiagnosed genetic conditions and the unique challenges faced by affected families.
