“Differences between DLA and PIP – new information available”

A new factsheet, Disability Living Allowance and Personal Independence Payment – the main differences, has been published to help people understand the differences between the two benefits.

DLA is ending for most people and this factsheet includes information for DLA claimants to help them decide whether to claim PIP.

The factsheet is available to download and view via the PIP Stakeholder Toolkit alongside other information for organisations who support PIP and DLA claimants.

The PIP toolkit is currently being reviewed and a revised version will be published on GOV.UK later this year.

For most persons with a learning disability, or their appointees, when they are advised (eventually) that their DLA is ending, the decision whether(!?!)  to claim PIP should not be a difficult one…
